What is a Non Surgical Nose Job?

Not all nose jobs need to go under the knife to be reshaped. In 2004, a

specialist in plastic surgery developed a non surgical treatment that

today is known as Injection Rhinoplasty or the “15 Minute Nose Job”

This treatment is perfect for the person who needs minor adjustments

such as slight crookedness of the nose, drooping tips and random bumps.

Injection Rhinoplasty is also perfect for the patient who is on a

limited budget since the cost of this treatment is minimal compared to

the traditional nose job surgery. The average cost is between $1,000 to

$1,500.

The method is simple. Once the consultation is complete, and the doctor

has determined the patient can benefit from this milder treatment, an

appointment is made. Once treatment begins, the nose is numbed usually

with a topical cream and requires no further need for anesthia. Next a

filler material most often composed of a safe and well tested mix of 1 of the following:

- Botox – “A protein derived from a botulism toxin”

- Restylane – “Non-animal sourced hyaluronic acid” also used for lip

augmentation

- Radiesse. – “calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-based gel”

The entire injection process takes approximately 15 to 30 minutes. The

Cosmetic surgery treatment does not usually cause swelling or bruising and the patient

can return to work immediately.

It is important to note that this nose job method does not repair

deformities of the nose is simply camouflages them by smoothing out and

filling in areas to give the appearance of a straighter, more even nose.

The injections are subtle enough to ensure it does not increase the nose

size, just changes its existing proportions.

A Non Surgical Nose Job is not a permanent fix. Based on the choice of

injected filler the effects will last between 8 months to a year simply

because the body will absorb the filler material.
